Lasagna

1 lb hamburger; 1 clove garlic, minced; 1 Tbsp whole basil; 1 1/2 tsp salt; 1 lb can tomatoes; 2 6 oz can tomato paste; 10 oz lasagna noodles; 2 eggs; 3 c cottage cheese; 1/2 c Parmesan cheese, grated; 2 Tbsp parsley flakes; 1 tsp salt; 1 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
Brown the hamburger and drain off grease. Add next five ingredients and 1 cup water. Simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring often. Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and rinse. Beat eggs and add remaining ingredients to eggs, except the mozzarella cheese. Layer half of the noodles in a large casserole 9 by 13 pan and spread with half of the cottage cheese, top with slices of mozzarella and half of the meat sauce. Repeat with second layer. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
