Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients:
6 medium potatoes (mashed) or about 4 cups prepared instant potatoes
1 lb ground beef browned with onions and garlic to taste
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb package frozen veggies of choice (peas & green beans are both good) steamed.
2 cups brown gravy
Equipment:
1 large casserole dish with a lid
Directions:
1. Peel, boil and mash the potatoes- add milk and butter as you like.
2. While the potatoes are cooking, brown 1 pound of hamburger and steam the veggies.
3. Add the gravy to the hamburger.
4. Place the meat sauce in the bottom of the casserole dish. Layer the veggies on top of the meat.
5. Spoon the mashed potatoes on the top and sprinkle with cheese. Cover and microwave for 5 minutes on high to melt the cheese. Enjoy. Serves 4-6
Variations: This is also good with 1 can each cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup instead of spaghetti sauce and corn substituted for the veggies.
